Bermuda Tall Ships Regatta 1-5 June 2017

The Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta is truly the adventure of a lifetime. Sailing in the wake of the great explorers, travelling 10,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic, visiting seven different countries, and taking part in six races. The event celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation through its founders and founding provinces, which is a unique chance to commemorate the rich history of sailing in Canada and around the world.

The Tall Ships Regatta in Bermuda proved to be a great event with many ships participating in St George and Hamilton. During our stay the America’s Cup 2017 races took place over at the Dock Yard. A 20 minute ferry ride. The events  complemented themselves with both the grace of the Tall Ships and the cutting edge racing boats of tomorrow. It was estimated the 100 young people aged 16-25 from Bermuda become trainees spead across the fleet. Blue Storm events worked prodominantly with The Tall Ship Blue Clipper (part of Maybe Sailing). The venue proved to be extremely popular with visitors. The ship hosted many open ship events during the day and evening and provided the backdrop to the fireworks display on the eve of sail. It also provided a Bermudan company a fantastic venue for a corporate day sail, with 40 guests who enjoyed catered food, a bar and music from a local DJ.
